All-New, All-Good-PR Avengers #130 – ‘Help You Find Me’

Posted on March 13, 2024March 12, 2024 by phil.wrede
Captain America coordinates the Avengers’ response to the Tracksuit Mafia riots from atop Avengers Tower, in a snowstorm. The title of this comic strip, “All-New, All-Good-PR Avengers Presents… ‘Help You Find Me’,” is visible in the top-right corner of the image.
During a radio conversation with the Beast, who is still patrolling Midtown High, along with the Hulk, Cap sees the snow begin to stop.
Frog-Man, on the other side of the high school, contacts Cap, to report seeing a rogue Vault Guardsman flying around and causing trouble.
Cap orders Frog-Man not to engage the Guardsman, and Frog-Man agrees to follow that order. Besides, he observes, someone else seems to be stepping up to battle the armored rogue: the Starjammer Nebula (who’s not explicitly identified as a Starjammer, but is wearing the same style of uniform as Drax and Mantis, who we know to be Starjammers).
Frog-Man tries to start a conversation with Nebula, but she brushes him off, as she aims her large gun at the Vault Guardsman.
One big blast from Nebula’s gun knocks the Guardsman out of the sky, and Frog-Man eagerly admits that Nebula does appear to have the situation under control!
Nebula contacts the Black Knight over her own earpiece communicator. He’s on the other side of town, and a Tracksuit Mafioso carrying only a golf club seems to think he can successfully fight the Black Knight (and his laser sword).
The Black Knight cuts the Mafioso’s club in half, and the masked thug tries to run away.
The Tracksuit Mafioso’s escape is cut short when he’s struck in the side by an arrow from Yondu’s bow. The thug falls to the street, and Yondu complains to the Black Knight that the villains on this world are not especially challenging.
Atop Avengers Tower, Cap hears a strange noise, and alerts his fellow heroes. The source of the sound is revealed to be the Starjammers’ mystery Captain America, who declares his intention to attack our Cap!

It’s been a bit since the Starjammers last appeared, and their mystery Captain America squared off against the real deal! Their roster seems to have grown (again!), but will their agenda ever, finally be revealed?

We’re closer now than we’ve ever been before! Maybe it’ll be the Fabulous Frog-Man, who uncovers the mystery, once again!

Speaking of nearness… If you’re close to remembering how we got to this point in the story, feel free to avail yourself of all these convenient links to the earlier installments, to refresh your memory:

  • Part 1 (wherein Tony and Reed try to get Jonah’s help)
  • Part 2 (wherein the Midtown High AV Club gets their teacher’s help)
  • Part 3 (wherein the palladium discovery gets shared with the world)
  • Part 4 (wherein Jonah takes the bait)
  • Part 5 (wherein the Tracksuit Mafia starts to ruin the evening)
  • Part 6 (wherein Miles Morales unveils a new costume)

Welcome to PizzaRat dot Net, where I (Phil Wrede) post my toy comics!

The Idea

Comics, but with photos, instead of drawings.

The Process

Using stock photos as backgrounds, and digitally pasting photos of action figures over them. Graphic design software enables the lettering.

The Point

To make comics, to share stories, and to retroactively justify all the money I've spent on action figures over the years.
