It’s been a while since Iron Man proper last showed up in the Phil Wrede Marvel Action Figure Comic Universe – just about 14 months, in fact! Tony Stark took a real vacation, at least from super-heroics, even though he’s made some appearances via StarkComm video meetings.
Ever the showman, Stark’s making his grand return to Avengers Tower in his armor (and hopefully, for his sake, he switched off his armor out of the view of any inquisitive cameras – Iron Man’s secret identity is supposed to be, you know, secret). He clearly has a plan to regain some of the trust the public has apparently lost in the Avengers, even though he’s not shared the particulars of it with any of his former (soon-to-be-future?) teammates. When Tony Stark has a plan, sometimes the best anyone can do is dive out of his way!
It’s nice of Domino to show up to greet Tony, even though she’s technically resigned as an Avenger (again), isn’t it? It’s like something a real politician would do.
