The third, and for now, final installment of the superheroes’ fight for Ukraine is here, and I figured there was no duo better suited to cap this little power fantasy exercise of mine than Colossus and Wolverine. Iron Man and Darkstar in the first entry fought the battle from the air, and Red Guardian and Sunfire split the difference in part two. The Fastball Special(TM) seemed the only ground-based tactic that could achieve victory, today!
Even though this is the last idea I have, at the moment, that doesn’t mean that the people suffering and fighting bravely are no longer in my thoughts. I wouldn’t call what’s going on there a war – I don’t know if anybody not named Vladimir Putin would – but I want to wrap my thoughts here with a quote from Bart Simpson: “There are no good wars, with the following exceptions: the American Revolution, World War II, and the Star Wars Trilogy.” We can disagree with the particulars of that statement, but I think the sentiment is mostly true.
