It’s officially a wrap on the A.I.M. base adventure today, and with this ordeal concluded, we’re giving the name of the comic strip a little refresh, too! The Phil Wrede Marvel Action Figure Comic Universe is still the same wild place it’s always been, just with a slightly different title on the first comic page! And, a new Avengers leader! See, Domino? Sometimes the good luck power takes a little while to pay off!
In this next storyarc, I wanted to try to include a story about a superhero who makes a snap decision, and a bad one, and I feel like this action of Shatterstar’s qualifies? He’s a high-level warrior, with reflexes trained to the peak of perfection. So, when he’s threatened, his reactions might be more… substantial than the threat really deserves. Especially, when he’s being threatened by an exhausted A.I.M. agent, who only took the job with A.I.M. because he needed some quick cash, received no weapons training, and probably can’t even see out of his mask properly!
It’s not easy, striving to strike a balance between the tragedy and the comedy of super-powered people bumping into the lives of regular folks, all while trying to tell these stories with action figures, but, you know, at least I’m aiming high, here!
Also, when do you think Thor had time to learn how to drive a bus?
In case you’re just joining our adventures currently in progress, here’s a handy-dandy link to the start of the storyarc I’m just wrapping (and, welcome)!
