Tony Stark promised we’d go here, in the last installment of the “main story,” and here we are! Welcome to Latveria (to quote Tigra)!
I’ve always thought Jocasta was a fascinating character; her comic origin, as Ultron’s “wife,” then her rejection of Ultron, and on-again, off-again association with the Avengers give her a lot of complicated relationships to try and navigate. Like with Luis, I have kind of an elaborate plan for where I want her to end up, and I’m stoked to start that work this week!
Having the audacity to run a covert operation under Dr. Doom’s nose is one thing; Tony almost certainly thinks he’s smarter than Doom, and can therefore out-think him. But, to run it with half your team completely untrained and inexperienced? That’s a move borne out of either genius or desperation. As the story progresses, I guess we’ll sort out which one motivated Tony…
I haven’t gotten to give Michael Peña the big superhero action scene I know he deserves, but he at least got to whip out two laser blasters this week! Two!! That’s got to count for something.
