Fat Thor, God of Thunder and Encouragement, makes his second appearance in the Phil Wrede Marvel Action Figure Comic Universe, today.
I loved Chris Hemsworth’s portrayal of Thor from the very first second he stepped onscreen, but I really felt like the losses he’d suffered, the trauma he’d undergone, and the way he’d finally stood up to the end of his family and the world by the end of Endgame offered the character some incredible possibilities, moving forward. I’m not in charge of the Marvel movies, obviously, but I am in charge of my little corner of the Internet, so I decided that Thor would dedicate some portion of the rest of his functionally eternal life to helping his friends attain some measure of the peace he’s found. Oftentimes, he does that best in 4-panel stories.
